Confusing the Toddler

People frequently ask how Mr. Boo feels about being a big brother soon. Well, he has no opinion on the topic. Just for fun, we've occasionally told him, "here's your little brother!" while patting my stomach. We thought it was quite funny when we'd ask him "where's your little brother?" and he'd pat my stomach.

I just asked him, "where's your little brother?" and he patted his own stomach. Now we have a vocabulary issue. He thinks "little brother" and "stomach" are synonyms!

The opportunity to mess with your kids' heads is one of the best things about having them.

You can get YEARS of fun out of it. Heck, my oldest is 14 and they still haven't fully realized that everything Dad says is false. When they finally figure that out, I'll have to start saying some stuff that's true. That'll really confuse them.

Jace was our only kid that seemed to confuse word meanings. The garage was the fridge out there, and I can't remember the other, but it was real common. I think that is cute. He will get it eventually. Have fun with it while you can, and don't forget to record them, or you will forget them like me!!
