There's about 8 inches of new snow on the ground since this morning, and it's still coming down. Thanks to neighbors with snowplows, my driveway is clear, and even the walks are shoveled.
Ben is bored. He has drawn 14 pictures, and even drawn on the windowsill (his first non-paper art project! I was so proud!). He has played in the rice. He has played with Play-Doh. He has even taken a nap (under protest). He is tired of "A Bug's Life" (after 46 viewings) and only got through half of "Chicken Run" (.5 viewings). I don't really like "Chicken Run" either. However, he loves the opening credit sequence on "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." We have sung along with the dolphins about 19 times now. If you're as bored as Ben is, you should join us!
So Long, and Thanks For All The Fish!

Emma took a different approach. She opened three Christmas presents, dumped out the garbage can, threw Christmas ornaments in the fireplace, tried to eat my favorite plant, pulled the shrink wrap (for added layer of heat retention) off two of the three front windows and pulled the stockings off the fireplace (which earned her a trip to the Dr's office).
We had to be out in it- in Orem!! I had a Dr appt.- the kids are all out of school- so we bundled them all up- dropped them off to play with Jim's littlest brothers and sisters, went to the Dr. in Provo and then onto the hospital in Orem for a lovely 3 hour non stress test!! Fun!! All the while the snow fell- we got home around 2:00pm- Then Jim & the boys shoveled my Moms driveway and walks and then ours... LOTS of snow!!
Everyone says that they can't remember when else we've had this much- didn't we have this much last year the day before Valentines Day?
My kids loved it. I had to have the heat on because my kids went in and out and in and out all day. They were supposed to shovel the walks and driveway, but they didn't all they did was pack it down with all their in and out, and then they built a snow fort.
