Ben's birthday book
Dirk sent Ben a book for his birthday, and a DVD of him reading it. Ben likes the music soundtrack the best, but he has also watched Dirk read it to him lots of times. Here are some photos and video of the first time Ben and Simon got to watch daddy's DVD. Yay for modern technology!

Oh, it was soooo good to hear Dirk's voice in that video...I could see
'the beard' but not much of Dirk on the tv screen but it was definitely my Dirk. He probably didn't realize he was reading it to the whole family. Ben looks absolutely thrilled with the book, the bear and daddy on the tv screen and Simon looks so BIG.
It was great to see you all yesterday too! I will mail Dirk's package tomorrow.
Also Dirk - how about doing a blog about the care package drive your unit is doing!!
He really will love those even as he gets older.
I love that book! What a great way to interact when you are a world apart!!
