Simon update

Simon went to the doctor yesterday. Yep, he's a healthy, growing baby. His measurements confirmed what I already knew from his clothes - Simon at two months is the same size Benji was at six months. Simon weighs 14 lbs 14 oz (96th percentile) and is 24.5 inches long (85th percentile). Chubby little honey bunny.

He sure has a cute smile. And I love the fat, kissable cheeks. He is a mellow little boy, too. He fusses when he's hungry or tired. He does aerobics just before filling up his diaper (takes some effort to work that stuff through). He stays asleep better if I lay him down and let him put himself to sleep rather than rocking him to sleep (that's sad - it's so sweet to rock a baby to sleep). He falls asleep pretty quickly on his own, without much fussing. He loves car rides, usually.




In this video clip, Simon bats at a toy. It looks like he's doing it on purpose. Ben didn't hold a toy until he was about three months old, so Simon is still several weeks away from bonking himself in the face with a rattle. But he can make the little toy spin around.
