Horoscope by Mother Goose

Remember that old nursery rhyme about the day of the week you were born? It goes like this:

Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is full of woe.
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving.
Saturday's child works hard for a living.
But the child who is born on the Sabbath day
is blithe and bonnie, good and gay
(in a non-homosexual sort of way).

I made up that last line, and I get extra points for making it rhyme.

Benji was born on a Friday. He is very loving, but not very giving, especially if it involves his cousin playing with the best shovel out in the dirt pile.

Simon was born on a Thursday. He is already more of a go-baby than Benji was. Simon just hangs out in the carseat, unlike his brother, who screamed until he fell asleep out of exhaustion for so many months that Dirk started referring to the carseat as "the torture chair." Simon also likes the stroller, and the breeze on his face when we're over at the park.

I was born on a Monday. Yep, me and Snow White. We're fair of face.

What day of the week were you born?

I believe Kelly and I were born on a Thursday (side note: 3 days after John Lennon was found dead). So we are "far - to - go" children. Have we gone far?

Emma is a Tuesday (full of grace) child. I believe it with all the smiles and giggles and how patient she is when mommy is trying to get her butt out of bed in the mornings to feed baby.

PS - Sleeping Beauty is MY favorite Disney movie too. I was way excited to see I'm Princess Aurora. We should totally have a Sleeping Beauty Movie party!

One more comment. According to Glenn's first birthday he was a "far to go" child. But, his new birthday says he was born on a Sunday...awwww. That's why he's so perfect!

I was born on a Monday...full of grace, ME??

Anyway - yeah, Kecia and Kelly (and Shawn were born on Thursdays...but I've always wondered if that counted cause they were 'forced'...

Mauri was born on a Sunday!

And Dirk was born on a Friday!

Susan, Monday is "fair of face" and that definitely applies.

Thanks for Dirk's birthday - he couldn't remember what day of the week he was born on.

Kecia, nope, you're both still living in Utah. Take lots of road trips!
