While IMing with Dirk yesterday, he mentioned that he’d ambushed the soldier in the PX who was carrying a Wii. Dirk is now the proud owner of a Wii. I told him to bring it home in good shape because I want to play tennis on it.
Dirk did get a great deal on it, but I started thinking that perhaps we ought to stop spending money like water (have you seen all my new clothes and books? Wheeeee!). So when Chelle offered to cut Ben’s hair that evening, I said yes. After all, saving the $8 that Great Clips charges to buzz Ben’s head will go a long way in helping offset the purchase price of a Wii. Yep.
Ben took it like a trooper. He sat on my lap working on a little wooden peg puzzle while Chelle buzzed around his ears and over the top. Ash blonde hair spilled all over his bare shoulders and I had a shuddery vision of what Ben might look like with a hairy back.
Suddenly my lap felt wet. I shifted his weight to reveal a large wet spot on my leg. Well, you can’t push a kid off your lap with half a haircut, regardless of what he’s just done. So I sat there with the wet spot spreading to the other leg while Chelle finished buzzing his head while simultaneously laughing her head off. It’s a wonder Ben escaped without having his ears nicked. Come to think of it, it’s a wonder Chelle escaped without getting smacked.
While Chelle rummaged around for clothes for me to wear, I plopped Ben in the tub and pulled his diaper off him. It made a squishy “plop” in the garbage can. Note to self: change Ben’s diaper at least once after lunch and before bedtime.
Diapers are 38 cents each. There was at least three diapers worth of wee in the one diaper that is marinating in Chelle’s garbage can. Combine that with the eight dollars I saved on the haircut, and we’ve practically paid for Dirk’s Wii!

Oh man...I don't know how Chelle got off with not cutting an ear or getting slapped either! lol But, I have to admit that story was hilarious!
Funny story, though I do need to clarify, I ambushed the PX employee who was bringing the one and only Wii they had recieved out to put on the shelf. If it had been another soldier, I probably would have lost the battle.
And Honey, I thought we had discussed the need to change Benji's diaper more than twice a day. :P
But then I was surpised that you remembered to check the mail the week benji's book came. [evilgrin]
So what does benji look like with all those precious curls cut off? And I agree - Chelle deserved a slap!!
Dirk dear, Benji's diaper gets changed at least three times as often as I check the mail.
Photos of Ben with his new buzz will be up sometime in the next few days. I'm still going through some video and photos I took before his haircut.

that is a hilarious story. You know Jeff Foxworthy says, "If the diapers says 15-20lb-s that is all it can hold. Really!" Did Dirk happen to get the new Wii Fit? That just barely came out.
No just a regular standard Wii with the Wii sports disk, anyone care to recommend any games?
I would have to say playing "tiger woods golf" is a lot of fun. it is amazing how it takes your swings. my slice is almost gone and i can beat the boss, sometimes.
